“The Queen of the Seven, or Nick Carter and the Beautiful Sorceress” is the second in a series of nine stories featuring Dazaar and six other devils. In the second story, a Russian princess, Irma Plavatski, whose body is frequently possessed by a devil called Queen of the Seven, seeks Nick Carter’s assistance in freeing herself from this diabolical fiend. Unfortunately, the task proves to be much more difficult than Nick anticipates, for he is not dealing with common criminals, but with ancient demons.
