"House of Living Death" is a novella by Arthur Leo Zagat, an American pulp horror writer. It describes the terrifying experiences of a young man who is falsely diagnosed as insane. The young man is the heir to a rich estate, and the executor of the will has confined the man to a lunatic asylum so that he (the executor) can take possession of the estate. In order to ensure the success of his villainous plan, the executor has instructed the asylum’s superintendent to drive the young man completely insane, even though he isn’t insane before being confined there.
