In the third volume in this series, Dick Turpin assists a young man to claim his rightful inheritance. The young man is the eldest son of a baronet who secretly married a gipsy girl, but in order to prove his birthright, he must produce the marriage certificate. He has therefore offered to pay 5,000 guineas to Dick Turpin to find the certificate. Meanwhile, the young man’s life is in danger from his half-brother who wants to kill him.
