Bloodstained Leather, was published under the name, Wal King, a pseudonym of J.W. (John Winton) Heming, a prolific Australian writer of pulp fiction. The story clearly draws upon Heming’s own career as a professional boxer, and is a fascinating account of the Australian boxing profession during the 1940s.
